Juan Banchs: Why do wires produces or have a magnetic field when current flows through them?

  • Little Sky:This question is just like asking 'why is there an existence?'. Not even scientist can answer such a question since it is too primitive. Only god knows the answer. For this case, whenever there is electron flow, there is magnetic field. They come in pair.

  • Ice Tray:It's because both electrical current and magnetism depend on the same particle; the electron. Current is when the electron itself moves, and magnetism is caused by the 'spin' of the electron (which is analogous to the rotation of the earth along its own axis).
