Miss 2 lessons: So, Let 'YES' be the presence of unannounced test and 'NO' be the absence of unannounced test. Lesson 1 | Lesson 2 ----------------------------------- NO YES = (4/5)(1/5) = 4/25 YES NO = (1/5)(4/5) = 4/25 YES YES = (1/5)(1/5) = 1/25 By adding them all, probability of missing at least one test = 4/25 + 4/25 + 1/25 = 9/25
